Beginning of December 2012 Exclusive Cash Giveaway and Favorite Posts
69 Comments
As the year winds down I’ve been thinking back at how far this blog has come already.
It seems like just last week it had a 22M Alexa Ranking and no Google PR. Back then I only had visitors if I commented on other blogs. I was happy to get 20 visitors a day. Modest Money has come a long way.
So to give thanks to everyone who has helped build up this blog, I’m hosting (and co-hosting) a few giveaway contests this month. The first giveaway starts today and is exclusive to Modest Money.
This giveaway contest is for $500 cash and various blogger services.
Here is the full breakdown of the prizes:
1st Prize: $250 Cash
5 Consolation Cash Prizes: $50
‘Ouch‘ book by Paul Knott
Blogger Prizes:
2 Blog SEO Analysis Services (valued at $44.95 each)
2 Sidebar Links on ModestMoney.com active for 2 months
2 Guest Post Spots on ModestMoney.com linked from the Featured Post sidebar widget for 6 months
This contest runs from December 1st to December 29th 2012. If anyone without a blog wins one of the blogger prizes a new winner will be drawn. Cash prizes will be paid via paypal or Amazon gift card. Winners must respond within 24 hours of notification to claim prizes.
You are welcome to enter daily via the social sharing options.
Refer to the rafflecopter widget below to enter:
Update: The winners have been drawn and contacted via e-mail. Thanks for participating. Stay tuned for more contests.
Good luck everyone!

Yeah I just hope it’s not too tough to find bloggers winners for those prizes. And no problem about the mention.
Thanks for the giveaway and the mention. I would almost always prefer cash unless the prize was something awesome, like a trip to Hawaii.

I’ll have to work on hooking that up for the next giveaway
Well, I guess that December 1 is one “end of December”
Thanks for including me.

Thanks Grayson. Good luck winning some big money
Haha, I’ve never won a giveaway, so cash or prizes would be a step up from nada.
Thanks for the mention and have a great weekend!
I hadn’t won any contests either until last month when I won 2 different ones on savvyscot.com. One of them was for the book that I’m regifting in this giveaway lol.
Awesome giveaway and thanks for the mention!

Hey, Funny how you can look back to the beginning and see how you were so excited over something like a few views. I was the same way.. but now it’s an even bigger goal but I like that. Congrats on a successful year mate! Cheers and thanks for the mention. Mr.CBB

Yeah your perspective sure changes a lot over the course of your blogging journey. I guess it’s just human nature to always want more. I wouldn’t have thought I’d be pushing for a 30k alexa rank at this point.
Thank you for the mention! What an awesome giveaway!
Have a great weekend, Jeremy!

Good luck winning those SEO services Jacob. If you don’t win, shoot me an e-mail and I’ll hook you up with a discount. That will have to do before you ride in my future private jet lol.
Another giveaway? Awesome! Thanks for mentions Jeremy.
Yup, another giveaway lol. I’m just getting started with the holiday season giving.
Wow – that’s an insanely awesome giveaway! Best of luck to everyone.

Great give away! I hope I win one of the blogger services! If I won $250 bucks I’d probably either put it towards debt or treat myself to a tablet. I really want one!
Jordann recently posted..Save On Groceries & $100 Give Away
lol you’re the first person to answer that question. Good luck winning the cash or blogger services Jordann.
Wow, what a great giveaway, Jeremy! I’d say that I like prizes the most as they are things that I typically wouldn’t buy myself otherwise. Cash isn’t a bad thing though as there is a lot more that I can do with it, however, it would most likely go towards some financial goal instead of buying something for myself.
I agree that actual prizes are often more satisfying since you might be too tight with your money to justify spending money on those things. Cash is unlikely to go towards any kind of splurge when you have other important financial goals.
Thanks! I’m curious–how long did it take you to get more than 100+ visitors a day? 500+ visitors a day? And do you remember how long it took you to get to PR1, 2, 3, 4? Tell me all of your secrets!!! haha
Todd – Fearless Men recently posted..Overcoming My Greatest Fear…of Public Speaking
Well if I shared all my secrets publicly they wouldn’t be secrets anymore. You can e-mail me about any of that stuff though. For PR I made it to PR4 on my first PR update, but it took a lot of link building work. As for traffic I’d have to check my analytics account.
Thanks for the mention Jeremy!

No problem Rizwan. Good luck.

Joe Cassandra recently posted..Use Less Energy to Automate Yourself to Success More Efficiently
Thanks Joe. I hope I can manage to find some bloggers to win the blogger prizes, but other than that this contest should be successful. It better be for the price lol.
You’re feeling generous this month!
Speaking of which, I have some early Christmas presents for you.

Early presents?? I like the sounds of that. We’ll have to meet up soon to make those presents especially early
Never have much luck winning stuff, but might as well try. Thanks for the awesome giveaway Jeremy!
Maybe you’re due to win one of these Steve. I was in the same boat until last month and then some good karma came back my way. Good luck.
Looks good, hope that we win !!!
Good luck Matt.
Another day, and another contest. Well, I just don’t know what I am going to do with all the money & prizes that I plan to win. As it stands, I guess I will have to spend many sleepless nights trying to figure out this conumdrum. The opposite is true for the rest of you that you must stay up all night crying, because you did not win. Look on the good side, maybe I won’t enter the next contest, and therefore, this will give you a better chance to win. drmrs 12/18/2012
Now that’s some positive thinking or law of attraction strategies. Good luck in the contest although I guess you don’t need luck with that kind of confidence.
Hello and Merry Christmas too all…. I am a single mother of two and i live in a domestic volence shelter, i have no money for gifts this year for my children and iam willing to put my pride aside and ask any and everyone for help this year. I do have a job but i work 2 to 3 hrs a day, 3 days out of the week and i dont make enough after rent to provide for my family at this time.. Please, i beg you.. If you can help in any way, with anything please contact me at afortner85@ymail.com. Thank you
I hope you can find a way to make it work Angela. I think most areas have some kind of help you can turn to, especially at this time of year. I’d think you’d still qualify for welfare. I do hope you’re not stretching the truth to take advantage of people’s sympathy.
Thanks for this awesome giveaway! Hoping to win!
