Blogger Acknowledgement – May 24, 2012
32 Comments
Unfortunately if you dropped by for the weekly Side Income Hustle series, you will have to wait until next week. Not to worry, that series will be continuing.
This week Modest Money was featured on so many blogs that I just had to dedicate an entire post to those mentions. Since search engines only index so many links on a single page, I didn’t want to give anyone the short end of the stick with these acknowledgements or my weekly favorite posts.
In all honesty I’m not sure why I got featured on more blogs, but hey I’m not complaining. I’ll gladly take what I can get. You all know that I really appreciate any help.
If you ever need help with anything, you’re always welcome to reach out to me. I already chat with a lot of you via e-mail, but I always enjoy connecting with other bloggers.
That’s not to exclude any non-bloggers who have stumbled upon my blog. I’d love to get to know you all too. Don’t be shy about leaving comments on any posts too. Extra viewpoints just make it all more useful for everyone.
Without further ado, here are all the awesome bloggers who got into my good books by mentioning Modest Money on their blogs:

So what’s your favorite thing about blogging? Are you like me and just like connecting with such a great community? Or on the flipside what do you dislike about blogging?

I love blogging because it’s a way for me to share my experiences and views on things.
Yes that part of it is pretty enjoyable. Your friends might not be too interested in hearing you go on about different financial events in your life. Us financial bloggers eat that stuff up though.
Hey thanks for the mention! My favourite thing about blogging is the community. I love connecting with other like minded people because it really helps me stay on track with my goals.

I’m not so sure you need much help with your goal setting Jordann. You seem to be quite awesome with that. I do really like connecting with other bloggers, but I could probably approach things a bit differently to get the accountability side of it too.
Congrats on all the mentions!
Thanks Michelle. I just wish I knew what led to all the extra mentions this week. It must’ve been my lines about liking nice people lol.
Holy crap dude, that’s a lot of mentions, congrats!
TB at BlueCollarWorkman recently posted..Getting Stiffed
Yeah tell me about it. I was happy when I was only getting 5-10 per week. Now I need to highlight all these in a separate post.
Damn Playa…..you ain’t messing around.
That’s a lot of mentions! Great job!!
lol…thanks Eddie. I was actually considering myself more of a whore than a playa, but I guess that’s a better way to look at it.
Hhaah! Funny man!
The polite (new term) for a male whore is “playa” ….just an FYI ..LOL
I guess that makes me a playa then…in the blogging sense anyway. Thanks for helping me be a bit more politically correct about it lol.
I love blogging because its a creative outlet, but that’s also what I dislike about blogging. I feel sometimes like we’re all just a giant self-help network talking about the same things over and over again. Thanks for the mention!
Earth and Money recently posted..The Hidden Ingredient in Fragrance – Phthalates
Haha yeah the repetitiveness is a bit frustrating, but that’s only natural when so many people are covering the same niche. The way I look at that is that it’s reinforcing important messages with multiple perspectives so more people can learn from it. It’s just not too fun to read about those same topics week after week.
Congratulations. Sounds like you have a fair few fans. This is great.

I don’t know if I’d consider many of them fans. Most of them are pretty nice and some are fairly genuine, but I realize that at the end of the day it’s a part of marketing. Regardless of that, I enjoy connecting with these bloggers and really appreciate the mentions.
You popular man you! Hahaha. My favorite part of blogging used to be because I was being held accountable, but now I love talking to like-minded individuals as well as building friendships. I can go to you guys for advice and receive really sound advice. It’s like having a bunch of really smart friends who genuinely care about your life. How awesome is that?
What I don’t like about blogging is…. nothing!

I’ve definitely received a lot of solid advice on all kinds of things from my blogging friends. I feel like I can ask them about anything without them judging me. It’s great being able to help them with things too. That’s awesome that you like everything about blogging. I do have some minor pet peeves, but I try to focus more on the positives these days.
You deserve every ounce of acknowledgement, Jeremy! Keep writing awesome posts and we’ll keep featuring you!

Thanks Michelle! I always like the kind comments like that. That’s sure to keep you in my good books
Man, you’re like the pimp of blogging. Just giving yourself to anybody and everybody around.
Nice work sir!
First Eddie calls me a playa and now I’m a pimp too? Does that mean I get to slap you all around a bit too? No if I’m a pimp, I’m one of the nice ones that spoils his women and tries to be generous to them all.
Wow, that’s a lot of link love!!! Congrats; it’s well-deserved
The Happy Homeowner recently posted..Hello! My Name is Jen and I am a Reformed Spendaholic…
Thank you Jen! I don’t think I deserve it any more than these other great bloggers. I guess I’m just lucky and have put in some good work in the right areas.
Congrats on getting mentioned everywhere! I love the PF blogging community – it’s the main reason why I decided to start a PF blog.

I had no idea the community was so great before starting my blog. I am happy that I did though, otherwise I wouldn’t have connected with all these great people.
It’s just your outgoing personality.
And awesome posts, of course..

Actually I’m a bit of an introvert lol, except it’s easy to hide that behind a computer.
Looks like you’re a popular guy, Jeremy.
Thanks for the mention.

I’ve heard of Pay Flynn, but not familiar with the approach he takes. Getting your name all over the place is just a natural strategy for anyone in website marketing. I need to progress to writing guest posts one of these days though.
