cat-monopoly

So I just got back from a trip to the liquor store and grocery store in preparation for a blogger beach potluck tonight (Friday). I guess I was a little too anxious to get drunk because I bought 5 different kinds of mix :S
Apparently going grocery shopping on an empty stomach is bad for mix shopping too.

I’ve kinda started drinking more these days. For whatever reason I seem to have an addictive personality. I dropped one addiction earlier this year and replaced it with a blogging addiction. Now I’ve been throwing more drinking into the mix. No I don’t get shit-faced drunk….very often. But hey, a long time ago some politicians decided it was the socially accepted addiction. So there must not be anything wrong with it ;) Anyways, I’m gonna have to do a full post on that topic soon.

As promised I am going to finish going through my analytics to dig up some completely random, sometimes ridiculous search terms that people used to find my blog. Let’s see where did we leave off…oh yeah, my yakezie fan club calling me insecure lol. So here are some of the goods ones after ‘insecure’…

modest person wife home videos
So is frugality getting so cool that it’s got it’s own p0rn category now?

my 2 cats died
Ok this one isn’t funny at all, but what are they hoping to find on Google??

my sister has bigger feet than her mother
Seriously what did I do to attract all these big feet searches? I noticed several again.

no downloads free printable fake check stubs
Yet another scammer seems to have found my blog. I have no idea what they’d use fake check stubs for though.

psychological benefits of dress ripping
I’m scratching my head over this one. Are there psychological benefits to that? Or is this from the side of a guy doing the ripping?

quick ways for a pretty girl to make alot of money
I know a quick way, but I’m not going to write about it on here. I seem to get a fair amount of people searching for something like this. Is Modest Money a good pimp name?

rich woman
Now why didn’t I think of just finding a sugar momma on Google? Oops, hope the new girlfriend isn’t read this lol.

scholarships for gambling addict children
I don’t know much about scholarships, but I had no idea you can get a scholarship for this. So does that mean that it’s my future kids or me that needs to develop a gambling addiction to qualify?

sidebissines, sidebissnus
Evidence that some people are just not suited to run their own business.

spells for financial burdens
Watch out the witches are gonna ruin your finances. Apparently there’s a spell for that.

starting a side porn business
Ok maybe those other people do have hope to start a ‘sidebissnus’. They just need to get a hold of all those pretty girls googling ways to make money.

still money from other users credit card
Do I detect a pattern with scammers not having a clue how to spell? Let’s hoping nobody is arming this genius.

use website users credit cards to make money
I stand corrected. This guy can spell. The dangerous part of this is it sounds like he might already have access to people’s credit cards at his job or something.

what to do when you have a losing streak with scratch off lottery tickets
Simple, go big or go home! It’s your turn to win. So bet the house!

which assholes do i make out the check for my traffic ticket in vancouver washington
LMAO ok this one is my favorite. Saving the best for last. I get the sense that this guy is a little bitter about paying his traffic ticket. Jen was that you before you moved from Vancouver WA?

lol, because porn and sidebissnus is totally what comes to mind when I read your blog. The last one is the funniest :) . I would just call the number on the back of the ticket to find out. Thanks for the mention.

I thought so too. I did write a side business post a while back, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t mention anything about my porn side business. I guess the speeding ticket guy was too pissed off to want to talk to anyone on the phone.

I guess I’m going to start working on my gambling addiction. I’m going to Vegas next weekend, so that’s perfect. It will save me so much money because I can stop contributing to my daughter’s 529. Wait, I can just use that money for gambling. Wow, you can learn so much from financial blogs! Thanks for the mention. Have a great weekend.

Well I can only take part of the credit for exposing this awesome scholarship opportunity. I have to give most of the credit to whoever was searching for it in the first place. Good luck with building up the gambling addiction on the weekend. It is for your daughter’s sake after all.

Be careful drinking too much, I joked about it for a long time before I finally had to quit because it was getting out of hand. drinkin’s fun, but when you have to stop drinking forever, it sucks!

Thanks for the concern penguin. It’s not really getting out of hand, but I guess I do abuse it when I do drink. So I know it’s something I need to watch out for.

That’s hilarious, I can’t stop laughing mate. Your search terms far surpassed mine this week haha. I’ve had no scam artists after anything on my site likely because at their weekly meeting they said “Modest Money” is the place to hang out. I hope I get some jaw droppers for my next post. Anyway Pimp Boy… have a drunken fun weekend…Cheers MR.CBB.. Oh, and thanks for the link.. ha almost forgot about that. ;-)

I do wonder what it is about my blog that attracts all the scammers. Perhaps I should be catering to them a bit. Now how do I make money off of teaching them to steal credit cards? I did happen to work at a company that sells plastic card printers. So maybe I can hook them up there.

I assume I just happen to mention each of those individual words in some posts. That or Google just thinks I’m a scammer ever since they kicked me out of AdSense.

Haha, nope it wasn’t me…I’ve never even gotten a ticket before. :-)

I love these search terms, there just so funny.

“quick ways for a pretty girl to make alot of money” they could always try stripping—the tips are great.

“psychological benefits of dress ripping” I can’t imagine there being any psychological benefits, but I know there’s gotta be some sexual benefits (that’s exciting stuff).

    Thanks for the mention. :-)

I should refer the pretty girls over to your blog Jen. Maybe your new header will point them in the right direction. You’re starting to make me wonder if you really are/were a stripper.

lol and yeah dress ripping would be more about sexual benefits. I’m not sure where the psychological part fits in.

That’s true. I do give them credit for that. It might not be something they can tell their parents about, but it could end up being quite profitable and lead to all kinds of other perks.

There’s a scholarship for everything if you look hard enough. That one actually seems like a worthy one. Because even if your parents make oodles of money every year, they’re still screwing you if they’re gambling it all away. Bye-bye federal grants.

So you’re on the side thinking it’s for parents with the gambling addiction? That would make it tough to afford to send their kid to college. I guess it’s marginally better than the kid having the gambling problem.

Yup we have it up here in Canada. My birthday even falls on that day some years. It ended up being a really good long weekend for me. It sounds like yours was probably pretty good too.

Damn those sound like some complex long island iced teas. I just make them the lazy way with some malibu. I actually had some of that on the weekend. In fact, there’s iced tea left over. So it might be making an appearance again this weekend.

It is pretty funny stuff, especially thinking that is only a small sample of what people are searching for each and every day. I wonder how many of those people are actually finding what they want out there.

That one is just great! I mean…come on! It’s pretty crazy to see how a lot of misspelled words are a great way to find random traffic. Obviously most bloggers post the proper words, but you may be able to take advantage of the traffic for people that can’t spell. :)

That actually used to be a common SEO tactic…mixing in misspellings of words. Search engines got smarter though. Now they usually know what word they are actually looking for. Plus they judge websites based on their writing level. So too many spelling mistakes could be detrimental.

I can’t say any of my search terms have inspired post topics, but perhaps I should help some of these people out.
