So I finished my first full day at my new job and have officially been there for a day and a half. I’m happy to be back working full time, especially downtown where I can feel all professional. Most of my jobs tend to be smaller companies in more industrial areas. Luckily I get to wear what I want though and I’m not stuck wearing a suit and tie.
While I’m getting used to the new routine it would be great to publish more guest posts from my readers. I do have a bunch sitting in the queue, but in a few weeks I should have openings to include more. So if you’ve been wanting to write a guest post for Modest Money, feel free to reach out to me in the coming weeks. Maybe just not all at once though
Today in an effort to maintain more balance in my life I’ll be going to the Vancouver Whitecaps soccer game against the Seattle Sounders. It’s an important game against a big rival. The season is winding down and the Whitecaps have a slim lead for the final playoff spot in the west. So they really need the points and they need to show they can compete with another playoff bound team. I’m sure lots of Seattle fans will make the trip up here too.

So now that I’m back to working full time and facing the temptations of downtown (food in particular), does anyone have tips on how to avoid lifestyle inflation? I’m thinking that going to the Whitecaps game tonight is a little bit of that. It is only my second Whitecaps game and I’ve been meaning to go, but I guess I’m a lot more willing to open up my wallet now.
