    It’s always my perception that these sorts of warranties are a waste of money in the long run. If there’s a 3rd party involved, they have to charge enough to make a profit based on the risk of a payout.

    I do see a benefit in them is you’re horrible with saving money, but the disciplined savers would probably come out ahead if they used their money for investments.
