I’m very happy with the number of blogs linking to Modest Money lately. Of course I wouldn’t complain if even more linked in. Obviously I’d make it worth your time. While I don’t always have time to comment back on all of your blogs, I do try to return favors any other way I can.
I know these lists may be a little long for some of you, but you do get the benefits of a temporary PR4 link…or two
I’m sure a lot of the readers can attest to how helpful I try to be.

So now that the Olympics are all done, what is everyone watching on tv these days? I watched a soccer game the other day but that was about it. Even that was just on in the background while I did work.

I’m #1! Woo-hoo! Not that there are any bad spots to be in in your roundups!
Now that the Olympics are over, I’ll be watching MORE tv. That’s because two of the three summer shows I watch were pre-empted for the games. Right now, I’m watching TNT’s Falling Skies, FOX’s Hell’s Kitchen (big Gorden Ramsey fan), and HBO’s True Blood.

I can’t say I watch any of those shows. I’ve never even heard of Falling Skies. Hell’s Kitchen is fairly entertaining though. Personally I like Breaking Bad, Dexter and Sons of Anarchy, but I think Breaking Bad is the only one that has started back up yet.
I am watching Big Brother… I love that show and it is on 3 days a week!

Disappointed in you Lance
I tried watching that show during one of the first few seasons and just didn’t appeal to me at all.
thanks for the link up
I am watching my beloved NCIS reruns and anxiously awaiting fall starts to my favourite shows.
I’ve watched NCIS before and it was fairly interesting. I was a big fan of CSI…the original one in Vegas. I can’t say I’ve watched any of those shows recently though. It’s just tough to find time for tv lately.
My mother is a huge NCIS fan. It took her a while to warm up to it though, because of the way they spun it off of JAG, her previous favorite.

It must be a more mature show. My step dad really likes it too. I’ve only seen it once or twice myself.
I don’t like watching TV. I like reading, and lately I’ve been reading lots of PF books. Thanks for the mention!
I’ve been shifting more towards that. I watch less and less tv these days. I just feel so unproductive when I do watch tv. If I do watch something I end up at least fit in a work out or just have it in the background while I work. As for reading, I used to just read fiction, but now I’m finding non-fiction to be a lot more enjoyable since I am actually learning something.
I’ve only been watching a bit of Futurama and some re-runs of Millionaire Matchmaker, haha. As usual around this time of the year I’m waiting for all the new seasons of shows like the Big Bang Theory and South Park to start next month. You can tell I like comedy lol. Thanks for the mention. Oh, one of my acquaintances mentioned to me that he reads your blog. Small world out there.
Futurama…hmmm I haven’t watched that in quite a while. That’s funny that you watch Millionaire Matchmaker. My last boss was on that show. It was pretty amusing seeing someone I know trying to be all suave for the cameras. South Park is pretty awesome though. It’s gotta be one of my favorites. What?! Someone you know reads my blog?? I guess it isn’t just bloggers on here.
Jeremy, thanks for the mention!

No problem John. I should be mentioning your blog more often. I really like the approach that you and Todd take.
Thanks for the mention Jeremy. I am a big fan of White Collar and other shows on USA network.
No problem Sean. I can’t say I’ve watched that show either. I really check out very few new shows. Even the ones I do like I’m getting behind on.
Thanks for the mention! Slowly recovering from my Olympic withdrawal. I guess a beer might help
Mark
Yes a beer always helps, regardless what the problem is. Or even better, have 2 or more. I’m just glad I can be productive with work now that the tv isn’t on all day. Once it was on, I just couldn’t stop watching.
Thanks for the mention Jeremy! I must admit that I have started watching Xfactor to fill the void – given that it started last night……
Savvy Scot recently posted..The Sunday Review – Top Posts of the Week
lol I used to watch shows like that with my exgirlfriend. There’s no way I’d watch it on my own though.
Jeremy, thanks so much for mentioning my post! I’ve been late to reply as I am enjoying my weekend. How’s your weekend going? I hope well.
Yeah my weekend went pretty well. I didn’t get much work done, but I at least had some fun. Now back to the grind.
Hey man, thanks for adding a link to one of my posts! I always appreciate it. I’ve been watching Mad Men and Parks and Rec. Loving both of them. On season three of both.
DC @ Young Adult Money recently posted..Getting a Property Ready For Rental
Two more shows that I have never checked out. I hear Parks & Rec is pretty funny though. I do miss watching a good funny sitcom like The Office.
We have Mad Men on the list to try. We have heard it is good.
Congrats on all of the links back.
Miss T @ Prairie Eco-Thrifter recently posted..How to Avoid Financial Disaster
Thanks Miss T. I was going to start watching Mad Men at some point, but Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy won out instead.
Thanks for the link love! I watched some football on Saturday and again on Sunday night during my fantasy football draft. Other than that the TV has stayed off.
What are you watching?
I’ll probably start watching football when the real season starts. I don’t follow NFL enough to care about preseason. I’m watching very little these days, but I do have a bunch of episodes to catch up on Breaking Bad and The Wire. Then Dexter and Sons of Anarchy will start before long. Oh yeah, I also didn’t watch the last season of Game of Thrones yet. Beyond those shows I just watch sports.
Thanks for the mention. As for TV…well I don’t have cable so instead I’ve been watching season one of Once Upon A Time on Hulu and a few other series…Grimm, Criminal Mind, Bones
bogofdebt recently posted..Spending Recap 8/13-8/19
I wish I could get by without cable, but I can’t get my sports online yet. I’m quite content to watch other shows after they’ve been out for a while. Then I can watch full seasons at my own pace.
Thanks for the mention. Sorry for the delay – as you know, virus issues. All better now.

mycancukbuck recently posted..Things seem to be back to normal..
Sorry to hear about those virus issues. I’ve been fortunate to avoid stuff like that for a long time. In the past I’ve been hit pretty hard though.
“but you do get the benefits of a temporary PR4 link…or two”
That’s not secret code for a second blog, is it? I read it and interpreted it a few ways. Thank you for the mention this week!
My Money Design recently posted..My Alternative Emergency Fund Strategy and How It Works
Nope not at all…with all the work that goes into this blog, I doubt I could manage a 2nd blog at this point. Perhaps once this blog builds up more I might. By 2nd link I was referring to how I link back to the mention and then link to my favorites after. Most bloggers only link back to their carnival mentions, but not mentions in round ups.
Thanks for the mention! As for TV, I haven’t had cable in four years, but we DID just sign up to Netflix and I’ve gotta say it’s opened up my world.
Jordann recently posted..The Pet Insurance Question
That would be weird to suddenly have netflix after not having cable for four years. You’re probably the perfect customer for them since they have all those previous seasons of popular shows.
Thanks for the mention, Jeremy. I’m so glad the Olympics are finally over…no more smiling and nodding when people are going on and on about them.

lol sounds like you really enjoyed them Jen. I guess it would be annoying when lots of people around you were getting really excited over something that you just weren’t interested in.
