Mid July 2012 Blog Update

Summer Sunset

Wow this week absolutely flew by. Now that it’s been such nice weather up here, I’ve been spending more time outdoors and working hard the rest of the time. I know that if I keep working hard now it should pay off going forward.

I’ve been getting good feedback on my blogging tips series, such as my latest post about Optimizing Blog Loading Time. So for the foreseeable future I will be continuing that series. It looks like I’ll be covering keyword research next week which is something I have a ton of experience with.

I enjoy busting out the nerd lingo and it’s satisfying knowing I’m helping my blogger friends. It’s really reminded me about the importance of cooperation with blog marketing. The more we keep helping each other, the better we’ll all do.

So the next time someone helps you out, see how you can return the favor. Like if someone provides some good blogging tips, be sure to link to them and share the posts on social networking sites ;) I’m kidding though…you don’t owe me anything. Still it would be a good idea to share the tips with your other blogging friends. It’ll just help you more in the long run.

In other blog news, I’d like to really thank Steve from CanadianPersonalFinance.com for his recent guest post Take Advice From Personal Finance Bloggers With A Gain Of Salt. It really sparked some interesting comments.

If anyone is interested in guest posting I’ve gone back to accepting 2 every week.
So check out my guest posting policy and give me a shout.

Another week, another long list of mentions. Thank you everyone!

I’m sure some of you are wondering where my list of favorite posts of the week is. I didn’t forget, but I decided this week I would try something different and post the favorites portion of this post on Saturday.

Previously when I included both my favorites and the acknowledgements in one post it became one long overwhelming list. Not only did it not look very good, but it also limited the SEO benefits for all the links since there were so many links on one page.

So even though I’ve been against posting on the weekend I thought I should at least give it a try. If it’s too much work, I’ll just switch back next week. If it isn’t too bad, I might as well do it to help you all out.

How’s everyone’s blogging journey going these days? Is there anything in particular you need help with? Since I stopped mentioning my stats in these update posts, maybe you guys can share some of your blogging stats in the comments.

Or if you don’t blog or don’t want to share details, got any Friday the 13th superstitions or other superstitions in general?
