New Airline Miles Credit Card Blog Announcement Comments34 Comments

For a while now I’ve had a second blog on the back-burner. Due to time restraints and partnership logistics, the blog sat untouched for far too long.

I keep trying to make online business partnerships work, but it is always much more difficult to manage than anticipated. Both sides usually have a lot of other responsibilities on their plates and splitting work evenly is nearly impossible. Then throw in the complications of wanting to invest some money into the business and that partnership really gets tested. So in the end my business partner and I decided that it was best to disband the partnership.

Now that the blog is completely mine to do as I wish, I figure it’s finally time to do an official launch. Even if I’m not posting much early on, it’s best to start building up the stats as soon as possible. It’s not doing any good just sitting there.

So without further ado, I’d like to announce the launch of my new blog Airline Miles Experts.

This new blog allows me to focus solely on the affiliate niche that I’ve been involved in since late 2004. It was meant to be a replacement for a website I have in the same sub-niche, but I decided to put it on its own domain for a completely fresh start.

In addition to writing about airline miles credit cards, which would be pretty limited, I’ll also be covering credit card tips, travel tips and airline info. I’ll try to keep things as varied as possible while still being somehow related to the main topic.

I’d also like to get other people submitting their stories about airline miles credit cards. Readers can probably benefit a lot to hear about the problems or successes others have had when trying to use a credit card for travel benefits. To encourage participation the reader submissions will be tied to a contest where one lucky reader will win $250 cash.

Some extra exposure for this new blog would be nice too. So there will be a concurrent contest to win $150 which can be entered by getting the word out about this contest and my new blog.

Let me know what you think about this new blog. Maybe you have some ideas of what I could do with that blog. Or maybe there is something you don’t like about it. I welcome all criticism or suggestions.

Also please follow that blog on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and RSS. Thanks!

It looks pretty cool Jeremy! I think it’s just fine and can understand why you’d want to get it off the ground and running. If you’re as successful with that as you have been with MM, then I know it’ll do great.

    1. Jeremy

Well I don’t intend to put as much effort into it as I put into MM over the last 13 months. So I don’t think it will be as successful, but I do have a plan in mind that might allow it to be as profitable or possibly more.

It does provide for plenty of flexibility. The credit card affiliate potential in that subniche did drop a bit in the past year, but with all of the other stuff to promote I think it should do well.

Airline miles is a pretty lucrative niche, from what I’ve read. Best of luck!

Could you give me a link to the Facebook page? It simply isn’t loading for me in the Rafflecopter widget.

Adding more work to the plate Jeremy? I think you have a good niche there. I don’t know about anyone else, but I have a hard time seeing the bottom footer with the links. The two dark colors are hard to differentiate, but that could have been by design.

    1. Jeremy

Yes those links are dark by design. For now there won’t be anything too important linked down there and I don’t want it to be a distraction. If that changes in the future the font color will need to change. It is more on my plate but one of the PPC projects I was to work on fell through. Turns out they wasted my time when all along one of the people involved wanted to hire someone full time instead. That guy happened to be the one who was responsible for providing me the reporting for me to get started. So he dragged his feet and worked on convincing the actual boss to hire someone full time in the meantime.

Love the idea Jeremy! I definitely don’t take enough advantage of airline awards, but we just booked our first reward trip through skymiles a few days ago.

That’s pretty awesome Nick. It’s something that you can try to work on though. The easy part is just getting in the habit of using your credit card for more of your everyday spending.

I hope you have as much good luck as you have with the current blog.

Partnership online is hard to keep up with. In brick and mortar business, it’s much easier to do business when you can meet with one another face to face.

For sure…a partnership is bound to be easier when you meet face to face and can directly see their efforts. With an online partnership it is just too easy for the effort to be unbalanced.
