In this City Traders Imperium review, we’ll be taking a look at this prop firm to see if its stellar online reputation translates into real-world opportunities for traders who can meet the profit target requirements.

What is City Traders Imperium?

Created by Daniel Martin and Martin Najat in 2018, City Traders Imperium is a forex prop firm that offers direct funding, evaluation programs, and education for traders.

Offering profit splits of up to 100% (with a realistic maximum split of 70%), City Traders Imperium’s services are designed to offer traders who meet the trading requirements and demonstrate clear trading skills the opportunity to trade using firm funds.

However, one of the things that separate this firm from the competition is the sheer number of educational resources they offer traders. Traders can learn about the basics of different types of trading (such as day or swing trading), have access to performance coaches, and take courses about different trading strategies to help them easily reach their profit target and achieve funded status.

City Traders Imperium’s service includes a variety of features, so we’ll start with the most basic one: the blog. Although it currently only has ten posts, it offers in-depth information about a small variety of trading topics.

CTI offers a consultation call free for anyone. In this call, a trading professional will talk with you for 30 minutes, analyze your psychological profile, and tell you how your results help (and hurt) your trading performance.

Mentoring from Daniel Martin himself is also available for free, although there’s no guarantee you’ll get in. Other features include the Mastermind Program and—of course—the various funded trading plans.

Pricing & Plans

Next, we’ll take a brief look at the various funding program options offered by CTI.

Day Trading Challenge

For a one-time payment of £109 to £479 (depending on your choice of plan), you can take this 90-day, 2-phase challenge. Various account funding levels are offered, from as little as $10,000 up to $100,000.

This day trading challenge—which allows you to trade forex, indices, and commodities—has a 15% target, a max absolute drawdown of 10%, and a minimum active trading day requirement of 10 days.

For a one-time payment of £109 to £659 (depending on your choice of plan), you can take either the Classic or Standard evaluation challenge. The Classic evaluation sets a profit target of 7% and gives you 12 months to complete the challenge, whereas the Standard sets the profit target at 9% and gives you 6 months to complete it.

Both have minimum active trading days requirement of 30 days, a stop loss risk of 1.5% per position, and a max loss limit of 5%.

Direct Funding

For experienced traders who don’t want to go through the process of an evaluation, Direct Funding offers a way for them to secure instant funding right away.

For a one-time payment of £1,059 to £3,649, soon-to-be successful traders will start with an initial account balance of $20-$70k. This funding amount will double—up to a cap of $4m—every time they increase their account by 10%.

The absolute drawdown is based on the initial account balance, so it doesn’t increase with your account balance. Offering weekly payouts and the opportunity to trade right away, direct funding is a good option for those confident in their trading skills.

Is City Traders Imperium Right for You?

There are many funded trading platforms for both retail traders and professional traders out there, but we think that this one stands out from the rest. We’ve gone over many positives in this City Traders Imperium review, but the biggest one that stands out is the year-long evaluation period on the “Classic Evaluation.”

The platform supports nearly any trading style (even news trading), offers a high profit share percentage, and provides a wide range of educational resources that allows even the untrained trader to become a professional in time.
