The Motley Fool Epic Bundle Review 2023
|By: Jeremy Biberdorf||Nov 22, 2022|
In a Nutshell: The Motley Fool’s Epic Bundle includes the Motley Fool’s four top subscriptions: Stock Advisor, Rule Breakers, Everlasting Stocks and Real Estate Winners. Together, these four services will help you build a well-diversified investment portfolio across the entire stock market.
The Motley Fool’s Stock Advisor alone has quadrupled the returns of the S&P 500 during the same time frame. The Epic subscription cost will be much more affordable than if you got the services separately.

Since the early 1990s, the Motley Fool has been providing its customers with premium investment research and stock pick recommendations. Its business model contains different subscriptions for different types of investing, from IRAs to hyper-growth stocks. The Motley Fool’s Epic Bundle combines Motley Fool’s four most popular stock-picking subscriptions in one low-cost service.
The Motley Fool: Is it Worth Paying for?
Chances are, you’ve probably stumbled upon an article or two while searching for investment strategies online. The Motley Fool website actually hosts a lot of different articles for free, which you can read without a subscription to Stock Advisor, Rule Breakers, or any of their other services.
This might leave you wondering if the premium services like Stock Advisor are worth paying for. After all, why pay when you can get it for free? Well, that’s not exactly the case. While it’s true that the Fool may share a few profitable investing ideas for free, all of their best content—such as choice stock picks—are hidden behind the premium paywall.
The free content on Fool.com covers a wide range of topics, including investing opportunities, stock prices, personal finance, and retirement planning. This information is certainly useful, but it doesn’t offer the same potential market-beating growth as the Fool’s investment advisory services or investing newsletters.
In fact, the recommendations you can view for free may not even match up with the Motley Fool’s official stock picks! The company allows contributors to post different investment advisory opinions than you might find on Stock Advisor or Rule Breakers, which makes it hard to rely on for consistent results.
The free content won’t offer much for advanced investors, but an active investor who’s just starting out may be able to learn a thing or two for free. Nonetheless, we don’t recommend trying to use the free content in place of a premium subscription.
What is the Motley Fool Epic Bundle?
If you’ve researched any investment topics online during the last 20 years, you’ve probably heard of The Motley Fool and possibly even read a hundred or so of their articles. While their free articles are decent, their premium investment research is even better.
The Motley Fool specializes in placing professional-level stock research in the hands of retail investors. Each of their subscriptions contains everything advertised, plus a host of extras, including live programming and webinars about emerging stock analysis.
So, what do you get with the Motley Fool’s Epic Bundle? Here is a summary of the four subscriptions:
Stock Advisor is Motley Fool’s premium stock-picking service. Since 2003, Motley Fool Stock Advisor’s epic stock picks has returned over 400% profits, about four times market returns. Stock Advisor subscribers get access to two new monthly picks plus lists of Bests Buys Now, premium content, and other services.
Stock Advisor is one of the most popular investing newsletters because it provides not only profitable investing ideas but also the investing strategies behind them. Furthermore, Stock Advisor provides information in a way that can be understood by newer investors.
Costing a mere $200 per year (at full price), this Motley Fool investing advisory service is ideal for beginners as it focuses on acquiring quality stock picks. Comparatively, “Rule Breakers” recommends stock ideas that have the potential to offer large returns.
The Motley Fool Stock Advisor uses investing strategies that revolve around long-term holds, dividends, and consistent appreciation/returns. You may end up with some of the same stock picks as suggested by Rule Breakers, but the Stock Advisor service likely won’t suggest them until later on.
Despite this delay, Stock Advisor has historically outperformed Rule Breakers, making it the ideal option for those who only wish to subscribe to one investment advisory service.

Rule Breakers is Motley Fool’s second most popular service. Its format is almost identical to Stock Advisor, but the stock pick recommendations are more aggressive. Offering profitable investing ideals that focus on potential market-beating growth, Rule Breakers is ideal for investors who don’t mind taking a bit of risk.
The service provides subscribers with two monthly “Rule Breakers” stock picks, weekly updates, ten “Foundational Stocks,” and an in-depth analysis of stock picks. Although the majority of these investing opportunities are seen through to the end, Rule Breakers will issue an investment advisory alert if the Motley Fool team thinks it’s time to sell.
Since Rule Breakers focuses primarily on up-and-coming companies, you won’t know if a pick is a quality stock until some time has passed. These types of investing opportunities allow you to acquire valuable stocks when the prices are low, but not all of the stock ideas are profitable.
Overall, Stock Advisor outperforms Rule Breakers, but that doesn’t mean you’ll lose money if you stick with these types of stocks. Since Sept. 2004 (when Rule Breakers began), the service has offered a return of 185%.

Everlasting Stocks is a newer service that has been around for only three years. These types of stocks are stocks that Motley Fool claims you can “buy today and hold forever.” With Stock Advisor’s moderate picks and Rule Breakers’ more aggressive stocks, Motley Fool’s Everlasting Stocks provides a well-rounded perspective to help you diversify your portfolio.
Even as a standalone service, Everlasting Stocks offers profitable investing ideas. In fact, these stock ideas have returned over a 100% return in the short time period since the service started! While the investing opportunities may seem as impressive as an alternative service like Stock Advisor, they’re still profitable investing ideas nonetheless.
Interestingly, this subscription is the only Motley Fool service to include ETFs, cash, and bonds in its investment advice. Whereas other subscriptions focus on individual investing opportunities that use a combination of starter stocks and growth stock ideas to achieve great returns, Everlasting Stocks takes a portfolio-wide approach.
New recommendations and reports are issued monthly, but you’ll get instant access to the Everlasting Stocks investment advice upon subscribing. Currently, the service recommends a portfolio consisting of:
- Stocks (80%)
- ETFs (10%)
- Cash/Bonds (10%)

Real Estate Winners
Real Estate Winners was just recently added to the Epic Bundle. With this service you can kickstart your real estate investing portfolio. Receive exclusive information & advice, plus real estate investing alerts.
Motley Fool recommends long-term investors dedicate at least $1,000 to their Real Estate Winners investing opportunities. You’ll receive at least one quality stock recommendation per month with this investment advisory service.
Although this may not seem like much to the active investor, it’s important to remember that you’ll also be receiving profitable investing ideas from Stock Advisor, Rule Breakers, and Everlasting Stocks at the same time (with the Epic Bundle). When used concurrently with other Motley Fool services, even simple stock ideas can contribute a lot to your overall portfolio.
In addition to the monthly recommendations, you’ll also receive a newsletter containing beginner-friendly research, data, and analysis for real estate investments.
The subscription provides pick updates—similar to Stock Advisor—to help you keep track of your real estate portfolio.
