Oxford Communique is best for…

The Oxford Communiqué is a recommended choice for long-term investors seeking detailed investment advice. At an annual fee of $49, it provides value by offering a range of stock and fund suggestions tailored for the current market. This newsletter is crafted by The Oxford Club’s expert analysts and led by Alexander Green, a veteran in the field. However, if you’re into fixed-income or prefer passive index investing, this might not suit you. For its depth and expertise, I believe the Communiqué offers more insights than many basic newsletters. Additionally, the 365-day money-back guarantee ensures subscribers’ confidence.

I couldn’t write an Oxford Communique review without mentioning reviews from other users. This way you can form a well rounded opinion of the customer experience with Oxford Communique.

The Oxford Communique Reddit reviews are extremely limited and pretty useless. Fortunately, 2,795 customers took the time out of their day to offer up their review of the Oxford Communique. After reading through hundreds of them, these are the reviews I found most telling:

I would personally recommend The Oxford Club’s Communique to friends and family. Have been a member for over 15 years and view it as kind of my North Star for investing and living well. Alex’s writing and the philosophy to stick to certain rules and not fall in love with individual picks has really helped me over the years. Most of us, myself included , do not have the emotional intelligence and real-world investing experience built into our DNA to be successful on our own. The Gone Fishing Portfolio along with Alex’s beginning of a new year ideas and trading portfolio have really served me well

I have enjoyed The Communique for a number of years. The writing and logic behind Alex recommendations are very much appreciated. When the stock market went down dramatically last spring I had confidence in Alex recommendations because I have seen him successfully navigate down markets before. I invested in PayPal, Genmab and Zillow and made a nice profit on each.

A Bit of Backstory

Oxford Club’s Chief Investment Strategist — Alexander Green — is the brains behind the Communique monthly newsletter and various investment strategies contained within. He is an experienced investment professional with a wealth of knowledge under his belt.

His impressive career spans over two decades, including 16 years as an analyst on Wall Street. Green has also served as a senior research analyst, investment analyst, and portfolio manager at various prestigious firms, managing multimillion-dollar portfolios for clients.

During his tenure on Wall Street, Green developed a keen understanding of market trends, financial analysis, and investment strategies. This expertise enabled him to retire at the young age of 43, having achieved financial independence.

However, you can find your own path to financial independence using Alexander Green’s unique insights, which he shares in the Communique (and other premium subscription services like Oxford Microcap Trader offered by the Oxford Club).

Investment Philosophy

Alexander Green’s investment philosophy revolves around a value-oriented approach, focusing on long-term growth potential, income generation, and capital preservation. He emphasizes the importance of diversification and position sizing to minimize risk and enhance returns. Just like myself, Green is also a firm believer in conducting thorough research and analysis to identify undervalued stocks with strong potential for future growth.

Accomplished Author

As an accomplished author, Green has written several bestselling books, including “The Gone Fishin’ Portfolio,” “The Secret of Shelter Island,” and “Beyond Wealth.” These books provide valuable insights into personal finance, investment strategies, and achieving financial freedom. Green’s work has been featured in various well-known financial publications, and he frequently shares his insights at conferences and investment seminars.

In his role as Chief Investment Strategist at the Oxford Club, Alexander Green applies his extensive knowledge and experience to provide subscribers with valuable investment advice through the Oxford Communique and other premium services.

With a track record of success, you can safely place your trust in his recommended stock picks and strategies. Working from model portfolios, Mr. Green has consistently produced results for subscribers since 2001.

Is The Oxford Communique Legit?

The Oxford Club is a legitimate investment research publisher with over 157,000 members across 130 countries. They prioritize honesty in marketing and set clear expectations. Their trust in Alexander Green’s ability to assist members in making money further validates their credibility.

The Oxford Communiqué is a reputable stock investment newsletter. It has received positive feedback from customers and has a significant number of long-term subscribers. While it’s reasonably priced and offers consistent stock recommendations, it’s important to note that not every stock pick will be a success. Diversifying your investments by purchasing multiple recommendations can enhance the chances of profitability. For new subscribers, reviewing past issues can provide a clearer picture of their track record.

In my experience with The Oxford Communique, here are the best features they offer:

Monthly Stock Pick: Every month, the Oxford Communiqué provides a stock pick, focusing on liquid, recognizable companies. This stock pick includes comprehensive insights, the company’s edge, buy-up-to-price actions, updates on other stock movements, life improvement tips, and weekly market shift updates. For those with a tight schedule, consider blending in third-party research for a more holistic approach.

Model Portfolios: The Communiqué offers a range of five unique portfolios – Trading Portfolio (focused on diversified assets aiming to beat market averages), Ten-Baggers of Tomorrow Portfolio (highlighting stocks with the potential for tenfold growth without dabbling in questionable penny stocks), Oxford All-Star Portfolio (a collection inspired by leading fund managers, e.g., Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway), Gone Fishin’ Portfolio (a combination of stock and bond index funds, emphasizing wealth preservation and dividends, linked to Modern Portfolio Theory), and Fortress Portfolio (launched in 2022, focused on risk minimization with assets like gold funds and utility ETFs). By May 2023, most Trading Portfolio holdings are updated since mid-2022.

Pillars of Wealth: This is a set of four principles to understand the Oxford philosophy: sticking to the Oxford Wealth Pyramid, pre-planning your exit, gauging position sizes, and trimming investment expenses. It’s their blueprint for managing diversified portfolios and handling risk.

Special Reports: These are exclusive reports available to subscribers, ranging from topics like gene sequencing, AI in medicine, or vertical farming. They offer a deeper understanding than the monthly releases and are designed to spotlight lucrative and low-risk assets.

Member-Only Events: These are exclusive luxurious trips and seminars designed for high net worth subscribers. These include cruises, seminars, and conferences with guest speakers, meals, and insights that are not provided in the regular issues. Destinations have included places like Lake Tahoe and Ireland.

Centerpiece Newsletter: Delivered on the third week of every month, this newsletter from Alexander Green is a treasure of investment ideas and is reflective of Green’s views on the market’s current state.

The Single-Stock Retirement Plan: This feature is Alexander Green’s deep dive into a covert $3 stock that holds significant potential. Subscribers get a step-by-step guide to discover this investment opportunity.

The Multimillionaire’s Handbook: A deep dive into the strategies and habits of the ultra-rich. This handbook is designed to allow subscribers to understand and emulate the financial strategies of the wealthiest individuals.

The 10% CD: This is Alexander Green’s methodology designed to help investors achieve returns over 10% in a market that’s difficult for high yields. It’s designed to be low-risk and is included with the subscription.

New Membership Bonus Reports: New members receive a range of bonus content, from books and video courses to exclusive reports, serving as an introduction to the Oxford Club’s investment philosophy.

Satisfaction Guarantee: Oxford Communiqué stands by its content, offering a 12-month satisfaction guarantee. If subscribers are unsatisfied, they offer full refunds, highlighting their confidence in their offerings.

Premium Bonus Reports: For premium members, there is a slew of additional reports, from the Gone Fishin’ Portfolio to gold trading strategies and guides for new investors. These reports are designed to provide comprehensive information for investors of all levels.

Oxford Communique for Different Types of Investors

The Oxford Communique is an investment newsletter service that caters to a wide range of investors. Its comprehensive approach to stock recommendations and market analysis makes it a valuable tool for anyone looking to make informed decisions in the stock market. Here are some ways the Oxford Communique can provide value to different types of investors:

  • Beginner Investors: If you’re new to the stock market, the Oxford Communique can be a great starting point for learning about investing. The newsletter provides clear, concise, and easy-to-understand recommendations, along with explanations for why certain stocks are being recommended. Additionally, the four model portfolios offer a structured approach to diversification and risk management, helping beginners build a solid foundation in investing principles.
  • Intermediate Investors: For those who have some experience with investing, the Oxford Communique provides an opportunity to refine and expand their knowledge. The newsletter offers more advanced strategies and insights, helping intermediate investors better understand market trends, economic indicators, and other factors that may impact their investments. Subscribers can also benefit from the expertise and experience of Alexander Green, which can help them make more informed decisions in a constantly changing market.
  • Busy Professionals: Investors who don’t have the time to conduct their own extensive research can benefit greatly from the Oxford Communique. The newsletter saves time by providing a curated list of stock recommendations each month, as well as weekly updates and special reports. This enables busy professionals to stay informed and make informed investment decisions without having to dedicate a significant amount of time to market research.
  • Retirees and Income Seekers: The Oxford Communique offers a well-rounded approach to investing, which includes income-generating investments. Retirees and income seekers can use the newsletter’s recommendations to build a diversified portfolio that generates consistent income, helping them maintain their desired lifestyle during retirement.
  • International Investors: The Oxford Communique doesn’t limit its stock recommendations to U.S. markets. Subscribers can benefit from its global perspective and the inclusion of international stocks in the recommended portfolios. This can help investors gain exposure to different economies and industries, further diversifying their investments and reducing risk.

Pricing & Plans

The Communique offers several different subscriptions for its stock recommendations. All plans are billed annually and offer a unique perk: the 365-day money-back guarantee! This is longest money-back guarantee I was able to find in the industry and much more impressive than the usual 30-day guarantee.

However, it’s important to note that—at the time of writing this review—the 365-day guarantee is only offered if you use our link to sign up. Signing up directly from the website will only grant you a “60-day full-refund guarantee.” We’re not sure why this discrepancy exists, but it’s something to keep in mind!

Here are the current prices on the various subscription levels of the Oxford Club’s Communique service.

  • Basic Subscription $79 per year ($49 for the first year with our exclusive offer!). This is a digital-only subscription.
  • Deluxe Subscription $129 per year. This subscription includes email and website services.
  • Premium Subscription $249 per year ($99 for the first year with our exclusive offer!). Premium subscription members receive both digital and physical copies of the monthly investment newsletters.

Although the Oxford Communique is an excellent source of investment and financial advice, the stock picks are based primarily on the recommendations of a single investment advisor. While unlikely, it is possible that a highly experienced investor could outperform these returns.

That said, the Communique has produced consistent results over the years by recommending various excellent stocks. We think this consistency speaks for itself.

It’s not necessarily a limitation, but we fail to see the benefit of offering both physical and digital copies of the monthly stock recommendations. While it’s certainly helpful to have a physical copy on hand, you’ll have already read the digital copy by the time you receive the physical copy, making them rather redundant.

Oxford Communique Alternatives

If anything in my Oxford Communique review was a red flag for you, there are other players in the investment newsletter game. One noteworthy competitor I want to mention is Seeking Alpha.

If you are an active trader, like myself, you sometimes get lonely and seek a community of like minded traders. Seeking Alpha offers an active community of investors that you can connect with and crowdsource trading ideas. This Seeking Alpha review will tell you exactly why over 20 million monthly users trust Seeking Alpha.

The Oxford Club has more than 157,000 members in 130 countries and counting.

Since Alex became the Chief Investment Strategist in 2001, the Oxford Communiqué has shown impressive results. Members who invested $150,000 during his tenure could have seen their portfolio grow to over $1,080,000, a 600% increase. In contrast, the same investment in the S&P 500 would have reached just above $400,000. Clearly, the Oxford Communiqué has outperformed the broader market.

Alex’s stock predictions have been notably accurate, foreseeing the rise of major companies like Apple, Netflix, and Amazon. While not all stock picks guarantee success, Alex emphasizes the importance of diversification, prudent position sizing, and setting stop losses to protect investments. This strategy helps mitigate losses, allowing the successful picks to balance out the portfolio.

It’s essential to understand that market downturns will happen. However, Alex consistently reminds readers to remain focused on long-term investing trends and not be swayed by short-term market fluctuations.

If you are a new investor you have missed out on many stock market rallies, but the market always has new opportunities. Alexander Green has highlighted a $3 stock with significant growth potential. Details about this stock are in his “Single Stock Retirement” report, available to members of The Oxford Communiqué. Green’s approach is simple: find a lesser-known, fundamentally strong stock, invest early, and hold. He believes this strategy could significantly boost one’s retirement funds.
